Senate Republicans prevent passage of the Bring Jobs Home Act to end tax breaks for corporations for outsourcing jobs overseas!

On Viewpoint, Current TV, July 19, 2012, Eliot Spitzer interviews Senator Bernie Sanders on the endless filibustering by Senate Republicans of the Bring Jobs Home Act, a bill that would have ended the huge tax breaks for American and Multinational Corporations for outsourcing American jobs. Instead of permitting significant tax deductions for Corporations moving their machinery and operations overseas, or building new manufacturing facilities and offices in China, India, the Philippines, and other countries in Asia, the Act would have provided for huge tax incentives, including a 20% tax credit, to bring those plants, equipments, and businesses back to the United States. GOP – Grand Oil Party. Republicans vote down measure to end tax breaks for big oil companies.

The GOP stands for the Grand Oil Party, and no longer the Grand Old Party. Why? Yesterday the Republicans voted down a Democratic measure that would have ended the tax breaks for the five largest oil companies.
